Microsoft Announces TenAsys as Windows Embedded Partner of the Year for 2005
Beaverton Company Receives the Award for Second Consecutive Year
Beaverton, OR – June 6, 2005 – TenAsys Corporation announces for the second year in a row, Microsoft Corp. has
recognized the company as its 2005 Microsoft® Windows® Embedded North American Partner of the Year.
Cited for its efforts as an independent software vendor in enhancing the performance of Microsoft’s
Windows operating system for mission-critical, real-time applications, TenAsys is one of the few
companies to receive this award, and the only software company to receive it two years in a row.
Based on embedded software technology that has been field-proven in
performance-critical applications over the last 25 years, TenAsys’ INtime real-time operating system
(RTOS) software combines the benefits of the Windows operating system — standard APIs, networking,
user interface and development environment — with a proven real-time kernel designed for time- and
reliability-critical applications such as robotics and industrial control systems, medical devices,
telecommunications, and test and measurement systems.
The latest version of TenAsys’ INtime development tool set has been seamlessly
integrated inside the Microsoft Visual Studio®, allowing developers to program, write, compile,
launch and debug without leaving the integrated development environment (IDE). The result is a quicker,
easier development cycle for real-time systems.
"Microsoft is committed to highlighting the companies that are using the
Windows embedded platform to help bring new devices and applications to market faster,"
said Jane Gilson, director, Mobile and Embedded Devices Division at Microsoft Corp.
"TenAsys’ INtime software works with Windows to insure embedded computing systems meet the real-time
performance needs of mission-critical applications."
TenAsys’ cooperative marketing programs with Microsoft include a commitment
to participate in Microsoft-sponsored events such as the Mobile and Embedded Developers’
Conferences (MEDC) in the US, Western Europe, Asia and Australia.
